Extraction of Plant RNA
| Abstract |

Optimal sampling procedures for sampling plant tissue for RNA extractions are outlined in this chapter. To extract RNA, kits
supplied from biotechnology companies are appropriate, but some procedures will not work with particular plant tissues. Two
alternative methods are supplied for troublesome material. Basic methods to check RNA quantity and, more particularly, RNA
quality before use are supplied.
