2. Synthetic Peptides as Antigens for Antibody Production
| Abstract |
|
|
The use of synthetic peptide immunogens as a means to generate specific immunological reagents for a variety of purposes has
increased markedly in recent years. In this chapter, we outline some of the salient factors to be considered when designing
peptide immunogens and describe basic methodologies for the conjugation of short synthetic peptides to immunogenic carrier
proteins.
