10. Precision Genotyping of Human Leukocyte Antigen-A, -B and -C Loci Via Direct DNA Sequencing
Abstract
Class I human leukocyte antigen (HLA-I) alleles have been described as themost polymorphic human antigens (1-4). To date, there are more than 500 HLA- I alleles which have been officially assigned by the World Health Organization Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System (5). This number continues to grow, with approximately one new HLA-I allele reported weekly (6).
