Expression of Proteins in E. coli Utilizing a Dual Promoter-Based Vector: pLACT7
Abstract
Most commonly used prokaryotic expression vectors fall into one of the following three categories:
1.  They have a low copy number and a low yield of single-stranded DNA,
2.  They have a high copy number and the ability to produce a high yield of single-stranded DNA, but require a suitable host to achieve an inducible protein expression; or
3.  They lack the ability to produce single-stranded DNA.
